Is this angle going to be ok? Plus anyone have a rough idea how much these work performance shocks will sag with a 160lb rider?

Not sure but it looks pretty steep to me. Can you bounce on it yet to see if it moves easy?

I'm thinking those would have to be some pretty strong springs even for 160lbs.

I was thinking the same thing.

Might even need some internal dampening changes too!!!

If you look they are progressive, the top few inches are a separate spring. They are for stock kz's. My gpz springs don't look that much less spaced..??

I could move them forward on the swing arm but the swing arm weld is in the way, so I can either grind the weld flat or grind a hump in my platforms.

From your picture the shock is 'lying down' past 45 degrees. That equates into more than half the energy provided by the swing arm on the up stroke into a lateral force.

Also, from your other thread the mounts you have for the right side are going to have to put up with a lot of shear force. May I suggest some bracing under them to the swing arm.

Not trying to be an ass, love the bike very much, just want to help you out if I can.

Thanks Cuff! Ya I was going to brace it, I was also trying to get it so part of the shock mount on the brake side was resting on the swing arm.

But I didn't know about the up force issue at all. Well I don't like the motion of being bucked so I will see what I can do today to move them forward more.

When I did my swing arm swap I set the bike at
ride hight then made the strut's and mount's to fit at the stock shock angle.

At the angle you have now it will take one hell of
a stiff spring to just hold the bike up off the tire.
Then that will lead to rippin the mount's off the arm
and bending the frame mount's.
