Looking to find a seat lock for my bike. Bought the bike without it, previous owner did not have it for some reason. The seat keeps down with the help of a piece of wire. Not too pretty, but does the job for now. Wondering where and IF I can get my hands on one. Anything that WILL work is fine for me. Any suggestions?

I know that my buddy's 77' KZ650's seat lock fits on my 750B3 and they really don't share very many other parts so if you have a salvage yard near by I would say that almost any other KZ would probably fit considering its in the same era. I'm sure there are a bunch of other guys with much better advice on here I just thought I'd put in what I know. Good luck.

The good news is that lock was used on a bunch of bikes. The bad news is that they are NLA from Kawasaki. The original PN is 27016-5010 and it was used on all the following bikes.

They show two superceded numbers 27016-5121 or 27030-003 both show as being NLA. You shouldn't have much trouble finding a used one on ebay though with all those bikes to chose from.

Yup, currently the high bidder on this one! Too bad there is no buy it now option... Oh well!

I'm glad you mentioned that, because at the current price I'd buy it just to have in inventory. I wouldn't knowingly bid against a KZR member but the way ebay is now you never know who you are bidding against.

That's true, you really never know who's at the other end! I guess that's the beauty of it!

BTW SebRain77, that's an awsome looking bike. Original paint?

Thanks Bill! I don't think its the original paint, but the paint job looks even and good! So its fine by me! Just had my carbs done by WG, can't wait to ride it!

I hear only good things about WG's work. Keep your carbs clean, don't forget to change your inline filter (don't ask).
