I am looking to purchase spark plug wires and caps for my !981 D1 project.

Exactly which plug wires do a I want to get? Resistor, non- resisitor?

Also, NGK has discontinued the cool white letter spark plug caps, I guess. Which should I seek out and buy?

So, ht leads multi copper core. 
Caps, either resistor or non resistor. 
Plugs either resistor on non resistor. 
Entirely your choice, but................ 
DO NOT have more than one restore in any single line so either resistor plugs with non resistor caps OR resistor caps with non resistor plugs.
Or better still non resistor caps and non resistor plugs.
