bcbobber wrote: One more question. When i get the knew petcock do I just cap the vac tube on the petcock and the vac line going to the petcock and leave the two vac lines hooked to the carbs? Or do I cap all the vac lines up? I'm assuming the first, but just want to make sure.
With the new petcock installed, remove the vacuum hose that's no longer needed, and cap/plug the vacuum nipple where the hose was removed.
All the vacuum nipples should now be capped/plugged.
Leave the two vent hoses alone. They must exit to open air, usually through hoses routed to underneath the seat or routed to underneath the bike.
Good Fortune!

Haven't had any problems with it. doesn't leak and cost was...less than a couple of bucks and wait time was overnight. I plugged the unneeded vacuum line with the same two part epoxy I used internally.
edit: gas tank designed two part epoxy
