I'd lean the bike against the wall on the right grip
pull the cover and rotor then drill, tap and put the Helicoil in
blow it off with a can or two of carb. cleaner put it back together
and go ride it but thats just me I don't over think shit just fix it.
1980 KZ650 F1
ZX750A1 motor.
Wiseco 810cc kit.
Zukiworks racing ported head.
VM 29 smooth bore's.
Dyna 2000 Ign. w/Dyna mini coil's
APE cylinder stud's and nut's.
APE valve spring's.
APE Track King clutch.
V/H KZ1000 sidewinder.
3.5x18 laced to a KZ1000 disk hub.
150/60/18 Shinko 006 Podium.

Is that all that's wrong with it? I thought the crank bearings were shot. A left handed Heli Coil might be a tall order but not enough to tear the motor apart for.

do they even make left handed heli-coils,. I'd like to at least check the bearings. i also have a bad seal underneath the head it leaks enough to annoy me. i also have a replacement crankshaft that is in really good condition.

Toy can pull the head but tearing down the whole engine to inspect the rod bearings? Is the bolt stripped or the threads in the crank? Are they really reverse threads? Pics, need pics.
