Hello all,

After 30years of ownership I am embarking on the full restoration of my first 'real' bike, a 1981 Z550 A1 which I've managed to hold onto for longer than any woman, house or car that's been and gone.

I'd like to get a 4-2 exhaust for this but they are seriously rare over here (UK) having long since rotted through. I've located a NOS L/H pipe that's marked Z400E/J Z550B DGM 36850S but I'm not sure if this is correct for my Z550A. The problem is I could wait forever to find the rest... (centre pipes and R/H).
Does anyone know what 4-2 systems will fit this and look close to original? Is Jama still in business or does anyone else make a 4-2?
Will the GT550 (Z550G1) system fit?

Thanks,

4-2 pipes are very rare now, personally I prefer a 4-1 but the linked 4-2 with an airbox gives it a lot more bottom end grunt.

Te jama 4-2 in black chrome look very similar but they are not linked.

Any z400j z500 or 550 pipe will fit, but the rear hangers I think might need a different mount plate. The early gpz600 pipes also fit I believe.
1980 Gpz550 D1, 1981 GPz550 D1. 1982 GPz750R1. 1983 z1000R R2. all four aces
