Hey everyone,

Haven't been on the site in a while! So my bike is running awesome, you know it stutters a bit in low RPM but she goes so fast in high RPM, so she is running good! Only thing is the #4 Cylinder is smoking... Don't know if the O ring is gone in it? It hasnt been riden in 5 years, now I'm starting to ride it lots. Maybe it just needs to be riden more?

It is also smoking out the right exhaust, blue smoke is coming out, and I'm thinking it's from the #4 Cylinder too. What should I do? Ride it more? Take it to a expert? I know a guy that is crazy good and knows everything about these bikes.
Thanks Guys!

Are you talking about a little smoke or are you kill'in mosquitoes? My 1974 Z1 900 would blow a little smoke out the pipes when I whacked the throttle back in 1974. Since I'm much older now I don't rev a unloaded motor to red line anymore. I haven't noticed any blue smoke on my current 1975 Z1 900.Both have or had a stock air box and 4 into 4 exhaust

When you say cylinder 4 smokes, and also out the right side pipe... Does that mean the smoke from the cylinder is coming out somewhere else? If so, where?

Running rich will cause some smoke, and can cause some fuel to ignite in the exhaust. But blue smoke would indicate oil. A lot of times the valves will leak a little oil into the cylinder, especially if it's been sitting, and cause some smoke.
