Valve Clearance Issues - Chart ? was created by 4TheKZ1000
First time checking valve clearance.
Im pretty sure that .009 off the feeler gauge is 0.229mm or 0.23mm in the left column of chart.
Thanks.
WEB wants .006 valve lash that would be 0.20mm according to web site.

Thickness gauge aka feeler gauge.
Having both a larger and smaller number (thou and/or mm), am thinking it's a step gauge or go/no-go feeler gauge, with two thicknesses, sometimes more convenient than common flat blade types
For example, if the desired clearance is 0.011 inch, select the blade labeled ".010 - .012," where the half inch tip of a 0.012-inch blade is ground to a thickness of 0.010 inch.
If the 0.010-inch tip will enter the opening, but the blade stops when it reaches the 0.012-inch area, the clearance is between 0.010 inch and 0.012 inch or very close to the desired 0.011 inch.
The gauge at hand appears to be a step gauge with both thou and mm markings.
Both thou and mm are shown on the chart in Chilton's Z1 hardback.
Good Fortune!
