kz1000 head gasket question

i am going to install jugs tommorow and when money permits purchase web cams gring #118 then send head out for freshening....the guy i got my jugs and mtc pistons from said he preferred copper and sent me a cometic copper 72 mm head gasket and said to rtv groove...as far as i can gather from reading, this might not be the way to go...i would appreciate input as i dont want to tear this apart or have leaks once it s together...this is a 1075 kit with 10.5 to 1 comp and head gasket will be a weak link if it aint right..do i go with
A-cometic one pc fiber and rtv
B-try to find 2pc 72 mm and use o ring for middle
C-use what i have

If you can find one (and I don't know if they make one) go with the 2 pc. and center o-ring. Then go with the 1 pc. Do Not use the copper unless you have the cylinder o-ringed. It will leak, I know some use the dopper without the o-rings in the cylinder, but they just don't seal good without them. The o-rings mash into the soft copper to make the seal. Plummen is right! Again!

I think APE sells the two piece 1075 gaskets.

Wiseco one piece fibre gasket, fill the slot for the o ring with sealant.
Copper needs grooves and wire to seal.

Use the Wiseco one piece gasket. Be sure to modify the dampner blocks as shown in this link. Don't ask me how I know!

some of you may laugh but i'm pretty handy with a knife so i carve my own out of wood and i cut them so they fit flush never had a problem with them.
