TOPIC: how quickly should i accelerate? '79 KZ750 Twin

AjKZBobber OFFLINE New KZ rider...Long time dirt biker Posts: 35	Running pod filters and accelerating/idling smoothly. just wondering what is normal for speed through each gear. I am already in 5th by the time I hit 40-45mph. Is this normal? Seems a bit slow through the first 4 gears to me.
