Progressive is trying to use my money to pay for those cheesy ass biker commercials, I sold my Katana and one month before their insurance premuim was due, I cancelled my policy, those bastards sent me a 30.00 cancelation fee, needless to say before it was over I owed them money, has anybody had any problems with these guys? just wandering?

Been with them for a while, 6-7 years, had to pay a cancellation fee on a policy once only because I had just started the policy. Other than that they have been pretty good, one major accident (4 days into my first policy with them), one minor incident and no real problems.
But every company has people who have bad experiences. I know there are others on here who feel like they have gotten the short end from Progressive. This is just my experience. |

No lie I checked into insurance on the 83 1100...$345 a year. for full coverage. I went with ALLState...$145 full coverage for a year. no comparison...ditching Flo and switching the car insurance over to President Palmer as well! (24 reference if you get it.)

It pays to call around. Simple.
The same guys who will spend hours, and I mean HOURS surfing the net looking to shave 50 cents off a part will call the first company and add their bike/car/atv etc |

I had Progressive for about 2 years on my wife's car. I was driving on a country road and went through a sharp curve when the car started spinning like it was on black ice. In the middle of summer. There was oil on the road. The police listed it as not at fault. I was going below the speed limit, and there was minimal damage to the car. Progressive paid for the rental car, and for a body shop to do a so-so job on the repairs, then immediately dropped us. I had to scramble to get insurance, paying a premium because I'd been dropped. I now go through USAA, but I get my motorcycle insurance through Dairyland, because USAA uses Progressive for its motorcyle coverage. I wasn't happy.

I insure thru Geico, I get a multi car/bike discount as well as discounts for taking a MSF course. the one time I put in a claim for a stolen truck, they gave me top dollar and have always been good about lo dollar items like broken windshields and dents. Go with the Gecko!
