I haven't been on here for a while, originally the project was a ZXR750 suspension conversion. A couple of years later, that is still on the bench, kids grow up a bit etc, plus having a job where I can ride to work = I need to get my bike back on the road now.
So basically get a new battery into it, freshen up the fuel system, do the brakes and start riding it.
I am a lover of all Z's, I've had round tanks and factory injected GPZ's and I always get blown away by the projects I see on KzRider
Will test for photo now and go from there

Certain you were here long before my time but a hearty welcome back!

Congrats on getting her back to running again and glad that life's lead you to a place where wrenching and riding (especially to work woohoo!) is an option again! Love that Z and really dig the paint scheme, I assume factory right? Best of luck and will b filleting and reading, looking good B)

Very nice! I have a 1982 GPz750 that I was considering painting the same color and pattern.

Cheers mate. The colours are original or close to it, but the stripes are laid out differently and are painted.

I like the way it rides with the 18"s, the front guard has been reshaped to match the smaller diameter. There are lots of small mods over this bike. Most was done almost 20 years ago, mainly by the previous owner who I knew through our local Z owners club at the time.
Front guard reshaped then refitted to the original mount.
Tailight/ plate bracket moved into the ducktail
Bracing in the front downtubes and above the swingarm pivot.
ZX1100 motor, wheels/brakes, swingarm, insruments.
Frame is GPZ1100, think it's B2.
So it's not really much Z1000 at all, but that's the way I like it.

Plus the chain run is offset wider, I can fit at least a 140 on the rear, but it handled worse with a 140 so have left it as is.
Eventually I might go back to the zxr conversion but no hurry right now.
