It was free to me. $200 into it. I am thinking the tank is gonna need some professional work. Got the badges off and there is some major rust on right side. It don't think sealer is gonna do it. Probably be spring before decision time, but I'll price out a good tank versus getting this one professionally repaired. It's a black master cylinder now, red reflection there. We'll see time is on my side. R

Got a mc cap off an old kz400 mc. It polished up nicely and fits well. Another bellows and rod in good shape for spares. R

That Kawasaki rectangular mc is poorly designed.

From the 650 clymer manual.

Mine works fine as long as the gasket is good.

Yes, I saw that when you mentioned it before. Shape aside there is also a machining issue. The stops created by the bolt collar on the cover creates an interesting issue. I believe that the more you tighten it and bottom out the collar as well as max compress the bellows, it will leak more. It is also possible to bend the cover by bottoming out. i didn't check the torque specs yet, but I am not gonna bottom out the collar immediately and see how it goes. I will also mount to have the must plumb orientation possible without compromising control or comfort. R
