Well after 5 weeks.....I got my rear fender and rear wheel back from the Chrome shop.
Fender not a problem...matter of bolting it on but the wheel....will be a challenge to lash it on the hub.
Local shop wanted $325 ....Crazy

Lacing wheels is easy. kzrider.com/forum/5-chassis/415983-new-s...nent&type=raw#416074

Ed, if you're looking for OEM type chroming I heard good things about Economy Plating in Mesquite, TX. The finish isn't that over-restored wet-look alot of places do.

So two weeks ago I got caught in the rain and with Pods ...bike did not want to run.
So since this bike will be my traveling bike I decided to buy a air box for it.
Came in today....it's from a 75 z1.

When I was raising my kids, I rode solo. My son got in trouble on the bus, so I had to drop him off and pick him up every day for two months. I couldn't afford it in the truck so I had to use the bike. The only one being punished was me. He had a blast. All the kids would crowd around to see the bike. All the wrong signals. Dad will fix it. That carried on until he didn't graduate High School 7 credits shy even tho I was picking him up after extra classes every day. He was ditching them. They told me he would have to go to Summer School to graduate. I said NO, he just turned 18 and if he want to, he can get there on his own. 25 miles one way.
He never understood what it meant to be responsible and that's how it stands today. Two kids, I failed with one. :(
That's batting 500 isn't it?

You're gonna love the airbox.

BTW, with the airbox you have to cover the mesh top with plastic when you wash the bike. Water runs town the tank right into it.
