This is the look I have been searching for. I love the rear fender and seat.

I am heading towards hard-tailing my ride like this. I'm going to Northern Tool for one of those fenders.

What is best to use for the frame pieces to make it a hard tail? Is steel water pipe strong enough?

I wish the OP would come back for a visit. I sure would like to get some pointers.

YEah that old black iron pipe is strong enough if your not bending it ,its about 1/8th or better..i've cut apart a swing arm before and it wasn't very thing at all ..but that old water pipe is seemed in the middle either way 1/8th is good

Thanks Spark23ca. I was able to find a source of .81 diameter steel tube which fits up perfectly to the frame rail under the seat.

I was able to contact the OP and get a little more info on this build to guide me on my build. Very friendly and a lot of help to me. He no longer has this bike but I'm trying to get him to stop in here for a visit.

HI there, I had your post pulled up as a reference for my current project, but the pictures have stopped loading is there any way I could get you to email me the project pictures? Thanks. Would be greatly appreciated.

They're having some pic visibility issues after the revamp. Give then a little time and they'll probably come up again.
