What can one say but enormous praise!

Great looking bike.
Great camera perspective in the video.
Very innovative on your sound sock reducing the wind noise and allowing a cleaner sound of the bike.

Where was the mike mounted?

Thanks. That was an old video right after I rebuilt it, sticky advancer, pods, etc. Bike rips now. Anyway, the mic is inline on the camera cable. You can't see it in this pic, just a small box about 3/4". www.wired.com/images/productreviews/2009/06/pr_vio_pov15_f.jpg

The bike looks great. Very nice tribute to your dad. What is the trick to restoring the control switches, they look like new. How do you do the tiny lettering?

Thanks!

I started out stripping the housings and painting them black with PJ1 epoxy paint. When that dries, use a small paint brush to fill in the letters, then wipe the surface with the firm damp sponge. That paint I bought dries very fast, so be quick. Only do one word at a time and have paper towels handy. If it dries, just wipe off as much as you can then do a final touch-up with black paint and a small detail brush at the end.

Bike is still going strong! Admittedly, I don't ride it as often as I should, but it's a blast when I can get her out. Only been servicing it and added a screen for the highway.

If you have not already looked these 2 websites may be of help, especially the one with the interchange info.

www.zedder.com

Also Z1 parts incorporated, you'll have to google for their web address.Keep up the good work.

These also may be of help for others too.

New short stems (thanks bluezbike) with rebuilt/repainted OEM mirror heads (cleaned and new foam) and dressed it up a but with an Adjure headlight. ...still on the fence with this windscreen whether to keep it or replace it with a slightly larger smoke one.

Wow! Beautiful bike. Good choice on the blue paint scheme, looks awesome and well executed too. She does look a bit nude on the right side with no pipe, maybe 4-2 would be cool and with a slightly shorter muffler, jeeze I don't want to sound critical though! Nice job on the videos too. Great to hear the bike and no wind noise, setting the bar pretty high there. I was very interested in your zinc plating kit. You got amazing results there. All my zinc coated parts rusted badly after I cleaned the original rust off. So on my 2nd crack at my bike I sent the parts to get re-zinced. They came back this week a bit shinier than expected... The guy chromed them all! Daoh! Luckily it's not a show room resto but it's not ideal. Thanks for sharing your build!
