Well it's not a street bike, but it is a Kawasaki.... It's My 15 year old son's 98 KX 250 that was starting to show it's age...

It was his first ever bare frame build, He did 95% of it as all I basicly did was watch and give him advice... I feel he learned more doing it that way... And hopefully will give him the confidence to tackle bigger jobs in the future....

I think he could have cleaned a few of the parts a little better, and it shows in the final pictures.. but all in all it looks pretty good...

But enough with the talk, I know how you guys like pictures....

They way it looked a couple weeks ago..

Tomorrow weather permitting, we are going to break in the new top end, and call it done...

I think your son did a very good job! If only more youngs kids, could work with their hands. The blessing is, he had his father to teach him. Keep up the good work! Have fun on the test ride.............

Bike looks great. Now get out there and trash the new paint. Is the Bronco a 1966? Great vehicles. I have had a few of those in my younger years. Even today they are great off road vehicles. Short wheel base and a 289 works great in them...Russ

What street bike is that in the background with the tall handlebars, next to the dirt bikes?

He'd love that... He's already been riding my 900 around the block every now and then...

The black one is a 68... the maroon is a 71... and I've got a white 72 that isn't in the pictures..

That is a 74 Jawa CZ... I found it in my buddy's barn.. it only has 13 miles showing on the od, and still has the tits on the tires.. plus it's ulgy has homemade sin, so I had to bring it home... Story is a guy bought it new, didn't ride it.. his son got older and snuck it out for a ride, crashed it (headlight/turn signals/ect) he traded it to my buddy some time later....

I believe he did a good job rebuilding the engine... It started on the second kick....

Here he is on the 1/4 throttle break in ride...

So now we just have to let it cool down, retorque, then take it for the 3/4 ride... repeat, then he gets to do his full blast on the pipe ride... I'll post a couple pictures of that... ;)
