TOPIC:

I took off the Vetter and ordered a new headlight assembly from Jeff and got it today. I also found some tiny blinkers on ebay and gave them a try. Then I got inspired and put on my cateye and fender eliminator from my other bike. The blinkers were a pain in the A**. I kept blowing fuses and couldn't get them to work. I found on one of them that if the stalk is screwed all of the way in it shorts out and blows the fuse. I also found out one of the ears is messed up so now I have to get some new ones and do it all over again next week.

For the rear, you sticking with the big turn signals or going smaller like the fronts?

Or maybe just smaller stems...

So what you're saying,is when you tighten the signal stem up,it
shorts out?

Well when I screw the stalk into the blinker body all the way it shorts out. I just backed it out a half turn and it works fine. That was frustrating because I checked them both before putting everything together and then started blowing fuses. But all is good now. Now I just need a new front tire, handlebars, exhaust, seat, brake lines...
