She's looking good man.B)
i've seen the front tube u used, to tie the front horizantal tube to the vertical, used before.
It makes sence that it would help. i wish i had done it to mine. i likely will in the future.

PMFR can make any offset sprocket if you have not found one yet.

1015cc stock internals for now, 39 flattys, GSXR frontend, ZX9 rear wheel with 6 over chromoly arm, just a budget beater!

I appreciate your input- I actually found an afam sprocket pretty cheap, the link is back on page 2 of this thread (don't tell me you just skipped to the last page here;) )

Thanks all of yall for the rome quote- I was beginning to feel like this is taking me for friggin ever:)

I scanned quickly but did not skip! I did a 530 conversion on my 1000 and ended up with a PMFR 5/8's offset, I think it ran me $50 or so, bike is looking good!

I know, I was just kidding anyhow:)

Hey does anyone know where I can find a real simple fender like this for a 17" wheel on regular (not inverted) forks? (I just edited because I think this is a zrx fender-but still any other sugg. are always appr.)

Oh yeah ordered my chain and sprocket cover yesterday. We just might be on the road this year after all!:)

Thanks

Ok so I finally got some time to post a decent update:)
I did finally get the bike on the road, I've probably put 300 miles on it so far and it sooo much better than it was stock. I can actually brake and turn decent now!! But I am getting ahead of myself:)

So I wanted a hydraulic clutch, and I had the whole assembly off of the zx10, so I ended up buying the pmfr clutch release kit and than butchering it up.

In case anyone wants to know, I enlarged the hole on center to 1.630" and shortened the kz clutch rod .500". Than I drilled and tapped for my three new holes and it works like a charm!

I also wanted to put led turn signal on it but keep the stock housing because they are kindof gaudy and I like them so here is what I came up with. Take some 2" led trailer lights and find a way to hold them in there-

All lit up-

They are actually brigher than the stock turn signals on my buddies 06 ninja zx6r so I'm happy.
Next up was the brake light, and I think it ended up being the crowning achievement of the bike. I wanted a newer, brighter led light (I love led's if you can't tell:) )
I have a buddy with a 05 cbr1000rr and I was looking at his taillight and thought it looked about the same size so I ordered a stock one on ebay for $20 so I could give it a shot. Here's what it looks like-

I made a simple bracket to hold it and the license plate-

Here it is installed- it truly fits like it was made for this bike-

taillight lit up-

brake light lit up-

So started riding the bike and got some minor head shake about 90mph if I'd hit a bump so I decided to put a steering stabilizer on it. I got one off an 05 gsxr 600
and mounted it under the headlight-

It's seems to have made quite a difference. I spraybombed all the pieces semi-flat black to get rid of the purple and get everything one color, and I did end up putting a zrx front fender on it, which I'm pretty happy with. Don't know what color I'll end up painting it, i'm just gonna enjoy finally putting some miles on it- I'm sure yall can relate:)

Here's one last shot of it done for now-

Thanks again for all your help and inspiration, any questions, just ask!

I almost forgot one more thing. I didn't cover up the license plate for the pictures because the bike is not kept at the address on the registration. I'm not saying anyone would want to steal this:) , but in case any unscrupulous individuals are getting crazy ideas, good luck with that. It's a crappy world when you gotta look out for that one guy who will ruin it for everyone else, but what do you do. To the rest of you, thanks again for all you help and ispiration!

That CBR light fits very nicely in the Z1 tail you have. That stabilzer setup look very similar to the one on my 900 I'm building.
