Figured I'd start documenting all that I'm doing to my bike. I know how you guys like pictures!

Here's where I was. I'm currently in the process of reshaping an LTD style seat to be more of a solo seat.

A little more shaping to the seat

I'm repainting my tank, all the plastics, my chin spoiler and the fender off of the new front end.

You must have me corn-fused with someone else!
No, Z1 here. But if anyone has one taking up space in their garage, I'll gladly take it off your hands!:P

Curious as to how you're doing the painting?

I bought a HVLP gun from Harbor Freight that I had found a spraying how-to online for.

And I decided to try the Dupli-Color Paint Shop ready-to spray-lacquer that you can find at your local auto parts store. It's a 3 step paint with primer, color and clear.
They also have a little kit that comes with 3 stir sticks and 3 strainers.

They have 6 or 8 colors but you have to use faith and hope the color is what you are looking for. I bought Mineral Gray and it turned out to be a metallic gray.
No mention of the metallic part anywhere on the can!
But that was fine with me. I'm also going to attempt to put a micro flake in the clear coat. I bought it off of e-bay.
