can I make this work?

my bike's PO put a suzuki gs1000 front fork, wheel, and calipers on my bike. I have a nice kaw wheel and rotor set and I want to intall it, can this be done, or will I need the entire front end? I'm sure some of you guys who've been do this for a long time can answer my question.

Is the GS1000 fork setup the same length as the LTD setup was? Won't this ride squirrely? I don't know anything about part compatability but I would like to know how this setup works out for you.
