Rebuilding my seat. was created by waterman
I'm making the jump into re-building my seat from the the LTD configuration to one like the KZ1100s (de-emphasizing the saddle). I'm looking at what to use for padding. I've looked for high density foam, but haven't had too much success yet. Anyone ever use synthetic carpet backing? I've seen a couple of people on the web have presentations where they used it.

I used carpet padding for my current seat. It worked great I contact cemented four 1/2" layers together then took an electric knife to it to shape it. Finally a sanding disc to get the final shape. The padding i used was called odor-ban, it has like a thin plastic backing and made gluing it up easy. I thought it would be a little firm at first but seems to be great on rides.

Thanks Bkitchen. I plan to build up the seat with layers of carpet backing bad and then top it off with memory foam. We'll see how it goes.:(

Does anyone have any pictures of a z1r with a corbin gunfighter seat? I would like to know how it might look on my bike. Thanks
