$400 is a rip off. They wanted $140 blasted and coated up here. You can get a small powder coater and do the small stuff yourself.

Doing it yourself with tha kit is not worth it. It will come out looking like crapola:sick: One reason is because application of the powder is key and the outcome will determine the finished prouduct. If you dont have a oven with a circulator it will come out looking like the outside of an orange. Not to mension it will not cure evenly.
The guys I go to, all there work comes out like glass and they do not charge a lot. They are the best in the area.

Performance podercoating up here is doing my Z1R for $250...including blasting here in Mansfield, Ohio...

A buddy of mine has a powder coat shop... $150 to sand-blast and powder.
