exhaust swap

hi gang i was wondering i have a kz550ltd and i know that the kawasaki gt use the same engine as the kz so would the exhaust system off the gt fit the kz as my exhaust is dead and it's easier to get hold of a gt exhaust than a ltd one i don't mind a few little mods to it any help would be great thanks guys.

Don't know if they will fit...the GT was not released in North America so many of us will not be able to answer your question. However, the GT was a shaft drive so exhaust mounts on the mufflers may be different. The headers proper would be the same within years...you may have to fabricate muffler mounts.
