KZ1100 Boyer ignition ??? was created by Ziggy
Hi all.
Can you help ?
I have a 1983 KZ1100, and I've been having some major problems getting it started. A friend of mine has traced the problem to the Boyer ignition box under the seat, which is stopping any spark at the plugs.
Any advice on what I should replace this with would be gratefully received. Or perhaps I should go with another Boyer Bransden system ???
HELP !

Hi Ziggy,
Ive put a dyna S ignition with the 3ohm dyna coils in my 83 Gpz 1100 and when getting the wiring right (thanks to the help of this forum) it throws a mean spark. Ask my mate who was holding the wrong thing at the wrong time  .
Seriously though, three wires and your wired. Im not 100% sure, but I think the Kz & Gpz share the same part number (?).
Hope this helps, Doug.

I'm not familiar with that ignition system at all, but I assume when you say traced that the ingition box has power but you have no spark? Does it still use coils?
That's a pretty cool looking ride you got there I used to have those same wheels on all my GM cars, my favorite wheels of all time. Still have 9 of them in the shed waiting for the day I own a car again.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I like the sound of the "Dyna S Ignition" as I can't find my bike listed with "Boyer Bransden" :S
Any further information on the "Dyna" kit would be great.
Thanks guys.
