Throttle cables

Can anyone point me in the direction for throttle cables on my 1977 KZ1000 LTD?    
I bought some from Z1 enterprises and they are not fitting no matter what I do, the inner cable is too short.   They told me that these are the right ones for my bike I just can't see it happening.    I sent them  a youtube video of what I was doing and they never responded.    They sold me 2 of SKU: 200-6305.   The orignal cables I have say 12-135 and 12-142 on them.    I can't find them anywhere.   If the cables Z1 sold me are in fact correct, I just don't see how.     Could use the help, thanks

According to the info on Z1, those cables should fit.  Make sure your handlebars are stock.  Maybe someone installed taller bars? 

For another option, Motion Pro 03-0019 is their recommended cable for both push & pull.

Motion Pro won't fit no matter what.
