All VM28's have an AIR screw on the side.Does my VM28 has a pilot scew or an air screw on the side of each carb (near the pods) ?!

Ohhh!! I though it was fuel screw like the dyno guy said!! I discover some fuel in my pod filter yesterday.. maybe my float levé is to high. I set them all at 26mm. Does 24-25mm can correct the black plug? Does it could change the tuning at high rpm ? Thanksss

Setting the float height at 26mm with the cards inverted?
If you set them lower, say 24 mm with the carbs inverted that will increase the amount of fuel in the bowl.
High fuel level in the bowl = richer mixture.
Low fuel level inbowl= leaner mixture.
Do yourself a favour and set them about 3 mm below the bowl surface using the wet method. Doing it this way takes the guess work out and allows for different floats having different buoyancy.
AIRSCREWS on the side should be approx 1&1/2 turns out.
FUEL screws under the bowl (if you have them) should be 3/4 turn out.
Then fine tune your settings using a colourtune plug.

Thats sounds good to me hehe !! But the clear tube method give me some trouble, do I need to put the tube to the front(engine) or the back of the carb and when I unscrew the drain plug, the fuel comes out by the screw instead the bowl drain!!??

The image in many manuals is misleading and the brass tube at the bottom of the float bowl on the SS carbs is just an overflow .
For the vm/ss carbs you need a tube that screws in place of the drain screw .
You need the fuel tap turned off then drain the fuel from the bowl you want to measure before fitting the tube and turning the fuel back on.
The level should be read on the side of the bowl midway between front and back.
This will give an accurate average even with the carb body at a slight angle.
The attached pic shows the screw in tool you can buy but they are easy enough to make if you have the tools and materials.

26mm is the correct float height measurement for your vm28ss carbs when physically measuring the distance from the bottom of the float to the carb body gasket face.Thank you, what do you think about 26mm Height?
