33 mm Mikuni Jetting was created by trickedST

I have a 1075 kit that I am putting in my bike 10.25/1, with 410 cams, a ported and polished head, and a Vance and Hines 4 into 1 header. Does anyone have any suggestions on what jets to use in my Mikuni 33mm carbs? Thanks

I have basiclly the same set up. I disremember the jetting. I will be in the shop tomorrow and will drop a bowl and look. I think Wired George and i were talking about the jetting of these carbs. Maybe he will chime in. Roy

Thanks alot....I appreciate any help on can get on this considering after I purchased the carbs, I've had more than one person tell me I shouldn't have went with 33s, I disagree of course.

Thanks for the chart. I haven't run mine yet. I think i just set it up from what Frank told me . He runs Powerhouse out on Long Island and he builds awsome bikes. That's where i got my boots also.
A well know carb guru told me the 33's are the only way to go. So simple and never a bog. Roy

Roy - We talked about BS34 (constant velocity) carbs and not VM33 smoothbores. The larger smoothbores have a bad reputation regarding low end tunability; can't say for sure if it is deserved or not. The BS34s are easy to tune and provide great all around performance on stock OR modified bikes.

Someone told me to bump the main jet up to the next size over stock and leave the pilot and air jet the stock size....Does that sound like it would work with my set up?

I think I used 132.5 or 135's in my 33's and I had close to the same setup you are running,you may have to faten the needle some as they were a little lean down low,I used em for drag racing so it didnt matter much how it ran low as long as 5500-6k and above was good.

I see these are for sale locally if anyone wants a set.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
