Bare metal, or painted silver? On GS Suzuki's, most parts of the engines were painted silver, the exception being, the bottom crankcase half.

I have several restored bikes along with a 2006 Goldwing with a sidecar. My wife has a 2019 Suzuki DR 650 for on and off road.

Bare aluminum. No paint on the A1's.

Silver leaf rub n buff is what you need. It's actually manufactured for the restoration of silver art works etc. It's a small tube of paste and at £10 a tube not cheap but one tube will do about 4 or 5 bike engines.
Very sparingly brush it on with a old tooth brush then buff it up with a microfiber. More you buff more it shines.
