(1976) Kawasaki KZ400-D3. All original, but: electronic reg/rec (Oregon Motorcycle Parts), new handlebar controls (w/ PASS/HORN/lights switch, LED dash lights (superbrightleds.com), Dynatek coil (3ohm), MAC mufflers, HEL brake hoses, rubber fork boots, 4.00 rear tyre (Dunlop K70), chromed chainguard
KZ400 Shift Return Spring was created by Feanor_twh
Recently the gear lever went crazy, first it stopped going backwards when downshifting and then also when upshifting.
I deduced that it is the return spring and I think I am right, the problem is bringing the part from the USA to Europe.
I found this but it doesn't specify my bike (1976 KZ400-D3), however it looks identical. Could someone confirm this?
The exact model option in CMSNL is not available at the moment.

Here is the correct part number and a Fitment chart. You can use the number to search eBay and such. I do not know if the one you found will work on your 400.

Thank you very much. I found the exact model on eBay and the shipping cost was reasonable. It's already ordered.
