I am trying to round up some Vintage bikers to crash the LoneStar Motorcycle Rally this weekend. Mainly looking for 60's-90's bikes, but all are welcome.
Is anyone interested ?

Hey everyone - the weather forecast is really improving - should be sunshine, cool and dry.
I want to go, but it would be so much more enjoyable if we can get a larger group of vintage motorcycles together. It will help to drown out all those "Potato - Potato - Potato" bikes.
This is usually a very good event. Let's do it !!!

Had a good ride to the LoneStar Rally. I meet Austin and his Friend in spring
then rode Down i45. Then meet Bill just south of i45 & loop 610. Great day for
riding.
When we got to the Strand Someone came up to me and wanted to charge me $10.00
to cruise the Strand. Thinking this was a scam I said " I'm not paying to drive
the Strand! and I drove on".
(Opps - I checked with officials later and found the fee was correct)
I pulled over a couple of hunderd feet to wait for the other guys. When Bill
drove up he said he paid the money. We kept waiting and Austin didn't show so
Bill walked back to see what the holdup was while I watched the bikes. When he
came back he said that they were turned away and that was the last we saw of
them.
Bill and I rode down the Dtrand and then came back around to 20th and the Strand
to wait for Austin at "The House of Spirits" After waiting a while we walked a
couple of blocks up the strand checking out the bikes and sights.
Triumph had a Setup and was offering demo rides. Bill rode the Tiger and I tried
the 900 Scrambler. Halfway thru the test ride I was disappointed in the
Scrambler and I swapped with one of the escorts and also rode a Tiger. The 61HP
900 Scrambler was way underpowered and felt like it had no rake. As for the
103HP Tiger -It was a fine riding, responsive Bike that handled great. I test
drove a Yamaha 1300 a couple of years ago and it does not hold a candle to the
Tiger.
Bill left before dark and I spent the night with a friend who has a couple of
houses on the island. I left the island around 11am Sunday and had a nice ride
back home.
I meet a guy who owns a 85 Honda V65 Sabre who is new to the area and expect him
to join and ride with us son.
There were plenty of gools and goblins on the Strand and I posted some Pics in
the Photo section. Sad to say I only saw a couple of older bikes
then rode Down i45. Then meet Bill just south of i45 & loop 610. Great day for
riding.
