The ones that know, know. The rest of them I ignore.

I live near Portland, Oregon and my rider is a '76 KZ900 I bought new. I'm also in the process of restoring another one and a '73 Z1.

It's cool to be riding past them at 4000 RPM and 70 MPH. The bike is just starting to wake up.

I have 2 900 kaws and a 03 fuel injected softail. I bought the softail brand new, it was peer pressure, my dad and all my buddies were buying harleys. All my buddies & my dad eventually sold their harleys and lost big $$$. My harley has'nt been out of the garage 2 years now, It's sitting with a bald back tire and dead battery. I'll let it sit before i lose $$$ like they did. Harleys are like a**holes, everybody has one! I love the attention i get with my 900's. I've met a lot of nice people and heard a lot of cool stories from the 70's about these old bikes. Nobody will even talk to me when i would stop for gas or something back when i rode my harley. Here's a old pic of it.

Thanks. Here's a pic of the other side and a recent pic of it sitting in the garage. In the background of the 2nd pic is of a 78 kz1000 i traded to a buddy 3 years ago but he never picked it up. He moved away. We still talk occasionally.

When I was a kid I use to deliver newspapers to the local Motorcycle Club and was always in awe of their garage, full of replacement parts for the members bikes, and they were the best tippers of all my customers I may add, so I kind of grew up looking and admiring Harleys, When I was old enough to buy a bike, I could not afford a brand new Harley, so I bought a new KZ750 LTD as my first bike, and I still ride it as of today, I never did ride a Harley, but from the vibration they make I don't think my body or bad back would be able to handle it today .. I always liked one Harley Davidson that used to come to the same bar I used to go to in 80's, and it was a café racer, 1000ccs and all black, gold trim, I saw the same bike in a movie with Michael Douglas riding it in Japanese mafia movie.. Wish I had enough money to buy every bike I like, regardless of who makes it.

I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ750 Ltd. I bought new. I recently managed to get it out of my garage after 28 years and put it on the road again (2010). I feel like a kid all over again. Since I have acquired 3 78 KZ1000 Ltd, 1 1981 KZ1000 Ltd, and another 1980 KZ750 Ltd. Love the LTD's.
