Well that was interesting

Went riding the other night (Tampa has been so hot that only at 10pm is it nice to ride). Coming through an intersection a car pulled out as I was coming through the green light. He was 3 inches from my leg when I swerved. Totally fine bike is good. Stayed up. I look back and it's a county sheriff. I wait and he comes flying up to me. Pops his lights and steps out, apologizing and saying he'll make a formal report on himself for being on the phone while driving...I thought about it but decided that he is just a guy and told him to not write anymore speeding tickets for a while and to go his marry way.


20 minutes later I get pulled over while already on private property checking my gps cuz I'm lost. Cops ( local PD) ask for registration and it seemed to have flown out of my tail unit. I explained it to him. He was hostile and assumed the bike was stolen. Harassed me for 3 hours. Let me go and I called to place a report on him and his partner. OIC came and was a replacement. Told me to pound sand. When I asked why I was "pulled over" they said suspictios behavior. I had on bright orange jacket, very loud helmet, and a bright red bike

It doesn't pay to piss off the cops.
