Wow, now I'm interested. I would love to ride up to Oregon again (well, I never rode in that area but I drove). I remember driving down the coast and finding it strange that I couldn't pump my own gas. I really liked the vibe of that place.
Have fun.

PM me your Cell # for sure. Maybe we can meet up for a beer?
:)

I will be up in that area at the end of June for a ZRX rally in Morro Bay the weekend of the 27th. Would be nice to meet some of you guys. I can even trailer my Z1r if anyone needs a hand in passing the flag from North to Laguna Hills area, Even from there back in to AZ. LMK Have bike, will ride.

Moro Bay is way south of where we will be that weekend, like another 400 miles. No way we can make that rally. :(
Shasta/ Trinity Alps is close to the border of Oregon and California, and luckily away from most of the population. We had a great ride there at the same time last year, and want to head back for more fun. :)[/quote]

Most gas stations will let you put your own gas in after starting the pump.

I live near Portland, Oregon and my rider is a '76 KZ900 I bought new. I'm also in the process of restoring another one and a '73 Z1.

Good to see movement here.

I will be riding from Morro Bay, CA to San Fran on Sunday 6/27. I will then be passing through the Sacramento area on to Tahoe and Nevada on Monday 6/28. If anyone is interested in meeting up, I can make some time. Will be on my C-14 and would like to meet some fellow KZ Riders along the way if possible.

We will be riding up a bit farther north, around Shasta and the Trinity Alps, Redding etc. Doubt we'll get that far south, Sf Or Sac.
There is a small town called Etna, which has its own small brewery. They have a Russin Imperial Stout, Very Good grog for sure!! B)

I'm just sorry that the flag got in such a hurry to get out of Seattle to sit in Bend for the last few weeks. I won't get to even see it.

Looks like a nice ride between Beaverton and Bend, only about 170 miles. I suggest getting on your bike and ride over!

As far as I know, everything is set for this weekend to pass it to Slayer61 in Mineral CA.
The weather is supposed to be perfect, although possibly a bit hot.
Looking forward to the ride and meeting up with Slayer and his wife. Sounds like he may have another rider join in also.
From here it will be me and my riding buddy, just like last Labor Day weekend when we took it to Seattle with KZCSI's help.
Hopefully all will go smoothly, and the flag can then head to Lodi, CA till the next hand off.

I can't see how after 8 months in Seattle, it could possibly considered a a "Hurry"! Poor Schuss was getting Hammered for having it for so long, as No One would step up. I took it to him and really thought for sure there would be another hand off. But i went and retrieved it, to move it along on its next leg, which is not a short ride at all. We will do 850 + miles in two days, and still be ready for more!
Then it will have been about a month in Bend, as that was the weekend that Slayer could fit into his schedule, and also mine.
Three other weekends in that time I have had Bike rides, including Dirt Bikes. Then there is always planning and maintenance to do.
 :woohoo:
