1978 Z1-R service manual

Does someone has a file or a link to get the 1978 Z1-R service manual?
I ckecked here on the service manual download page but there's no Z1-R.

The '78 Z1R manual is a supplement in the back of the standard 77-78 kz1000a1, a2 manual, like this (way overpriced) one. You can see the models covered listed on the back cover of the manual.



Same thing for the 80 Z1R. It's a supplement in the back of the 79-80 kz1000a3, a4 book.

Not sure if it will help. This has a supplement for the 1980 D

Yes, from the Ebay link you posted, the '78 Z1-R manual is a supplement in the back of the standard 77-78 KZ1000A1, A2 manual,

And Mikaw link, does have the supplement that covers '80 Z1-R (and '80 A4) but in a main manual that covers '78 A2...

I probably am considering a too complex task at trying to understand the logic behind all those manuals...

For now, I downloaded Mikaw's link which allow me to have '80 Z1-R manual. Should be pretty the same than '78 Z1-R.

Nobody have the PDF (or link to download it) for the album in the Ebay link?

I’d stay away from Cylmers. It has been noted here it has torque values incorrect. As for the Factory service manual with additional model supplements will tell you when to refer to the supplement. For example, during a procedure it will say “do XYZ except for the 1980 model, see page ABC of the supplement.”

The 77-78 manual covers the A1, A2, and D1.

The 79-80 manual covers the "Late 78" A2A, A3A, A4, D1, and some printings of this manual cover the H1 as well.

There are differences between the 78 and 80 Z1R. At the very least, you'll want to get the wiring diagram for the 78 Z1R. The two years have a pretty different wiring setup.
