I got this KZ750E a month ago. Had a Z1B in the past and had to let it go. Regret it till this day. This KZ might fill the void, I hope. Its going to be a somewhat budgeted build. Cafe/Brat style is where Im aiming for now.
Removed all the cases, trunk shield, gone.
New handlebar (eBay)
Its coated with plasti-dip type of material, and its durable!

Daytona Velona Tach/Speedo gauge is on its way.
I like where this KZ is headed! LED headlight (5.75") and black bucket (eBay)
Made a keychain with a Snap-On stubby screwdriver handle (stole the idea from 90's JDM)
Haven't spent a whole lot (yet), small things make a huge difference aesthetically..
Hope you guys like it as much as I do!

Is that a 1981?
If you plan on riding at speed, I would suggest new tires. Those are probably way out of date.

You'll need to figure out what you want it to be: cafe and brat do not overlap at all.
The bars you've installed seem to indicate you're not leaning the cafe direction.

Looks like you are headed towards a streetfighter type look.
Not sure how much you plan to mod the bike but getting it running properly in the stock configuration is highly advised so you can learn what to expect in the way it runs. A lot of guys slap on pods and a loud exhaust and the bike never runs right after that.
Oh, and in case you are interested, the front foot pegs and foot controls from a 1982 GPz750 or L model bike are nice if you are looking for a more aggressive riding position since they move back the pegs by a couple of inches. Other than installing the pivot shaft on the sprocket cover the swap is a straight bolt on.
