They are running really rich. Les Holt told me they would be ridable, they are. You have to roll on the throttle. I met a guy here in Mesa that has been restoring and modifying KZs since they were new on the show room floor. We talked for a bit. He said that through dyno testing that the best all around performance he found was running BS34s with a stage 3 dyna jet kit. It's worth looking into. As for the forks. I think the best bet will be a custom triple with a 2" drop. If I'm going to go that far I might as well do a new bottom tree also so I can move the forks forward about an 1" to gain back some turning radius.

adding and inch of fork offset is a lot. even a couple mm can have a big effect on handling. Not sure what your trail numbers are now but that much offset increase could easily put you in dangerous tank slapping territory. You're in good hands with Les, but i would for sure run down your geometry numbers before you commit to any custom triple dimensions

I just threw the number out there. I will have to do some research to see determine trail and rake numbers. I k ow I have seen it on here before.

Jon, are they rich on the bottom or all the way up?

Most gsxr stuff runs in the 30-32 mm offset, most kz's run at 60 mm so at that, you did loose about 1-1/8" of offset. Jumping up to a 45mm offset will give you about 9/16" more offset than what you have which will add to your turning radius and still improve the stability from KZ numbers.
I'm going to make a youtube video on measuring forks to order trees, that may be one of the 1st things I do after I get moved into shop.

Thanks Leon I looked into these a while back but they won't work for a 98 GSXR 750 I think due to the adjuster on the top.

Thanks Steve, I actually have a Sudco 5th Edition Tuning Manual

Found these advertised locally. Euro150 a pair. Just emailed him to check if he has a set to fit the ZXR and how long they are. If youre interested ,ill ask for your bike. (Model/year??).

That would be great I am using 1998 Suzuki GSXR 750 Showa forks.

Double check your years before spending $$.. '96+ Gsxr750's have a 25mm axle, no speedo drive and flat brake rotors. I think you have a '93-95 Gsxr750 front end.

Just went back through your thread. Measure the OD of the upper fork tubes at the top and bottom clamps. It's possible you have a Gsxr1100 front end. The Gsxr750 measures 50/54 and the Gsxr1100 is 52/56 I think.
