Some have said that they had problems as the sticker has the manufacturers info if stopped or for license applications. Some who rake frames cut the stock neck and then give the part with the sticker on it back to owner so he can carry it on bike just in case. I always just tape it off and paint frame. Doesn't hurt to leave it on there!
good deal that's what i'll probably end up doing then. I don't need an inspection cause it was an in state purchase but for future sale i'll keep it intact.

oh yes i know. i've searched ebay far and wide the first day i got it home and out of all the boxes. There is quite a bit of kz200/250 stuff so i should be able to find anything i need.

Im looking forward to seeing the finished project. Ill be checking in on this periodically...
By the way, this is daniel, the guy who sold you the bike... I have retired myself from motorcycle projects. (atleast for now!) and am buying a new scooter. Perhaps if I have one good runnning, dependable bike I might be able to better appreciate a "project".

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.
