Very nice but I too couldn't do that big box in the back looks too oversized. Don't put much weight in it or it will be a wheelie maker. So does the Kawasaki on the tank now that I'm looking. Is that a decal? I don't remember them that big. Nice bike tho! Good luck!

Take it from me cuz I found
If you leave it then somebody else is bound,
To find that treasure, that moment of pleasure,
When yours, it could have been.

looks have nothing to do with it. I'm riding that across the country 3,500 miles and camping around the Great Lakes for 10 days with my friend. I need the space. the Kawasaki decal is the modern one, the same one as on my 2009 Versys.

Am noticing the saddle bag brackets (or are those intended to hold large soft bags away from the bike?) and the strips added around lower part of shocks (thinking huge soft saddlebags).

The front cruise pegs are a life saver on long trips.
I have long enjoyed the same style, not with case savers, but attached at the motor mount areas.

A cooler on the passenger seat makes a very comfortable backrest, with ice and beverages on board.

And btw, wouldn't the Versys serve equally as well as a cross country cruiser?

Good Fortune! :)

Saddlebags no longer available for that rack. They are all trashed. Been looking for months.

I actually have a backrest that straps onto my back seat luggage mound. Pics later. I'm 800 miles into my trip now. Pod filters suck rain, shut me down completely in the Sierra. Clutch actuator cover screws vibrated loosse. Both issues fixed. Bike running awesome.

Hi,
First of all they don't fit right. I put the bottoms over the stock dust shields. The tops however do fit snugly and make it so that the bottoms don't ride up. The way I found them was to search for 36mm fork seals, then using that cross reference I found other dirt bikes that have 36mm forks. Buy fork boots for those bikes and you have it.

KAWASAKI KX80 1998-2000, KX85 2001-2011, KX100 1995-2011 - for instance.

That looks like an amazing trip. Wish I could do something like that. The farthest I've ever ridden is from DC to Tampa and back, twice. I definitely want to cruise out west. You picked one heck of a course, really looking forward to the pics along the way. You did a lot of work to your bike, and it looks very nice. B)
