the bad part is it is murphy's law workin against you.if you we're not worried about when they showed, you would already have them.
you have come a long way tho man and some time to reflect on your accomplishments might not be too bad with the right comforter's.

I also got a box from bike bandit with some OEM specific hardware I needed for the rear suspension and the rearsets All is well again
I'm sure everyone is DYING to know just how much hight I lost in the front end, right? Before I disassembled the bike competely I took 2 measurements from the ground to a reference point on the frame. The first measurement was from the ground to the bottom of the engine cradle/frame tubes. This was done without the engine and the suspension was unloaded, and was 9.5". I also measured from the ground to the top of the steering stem. Since the stem is at an angle, I measured at the back, lowest point of the stem. This measured 38.875".
With the GSXR forks mounted and the suspension unloaded, both measurements were 1" less. So I guess I got away with a net loss of 1" of ride hight

Thanks for posting those height measurements. That is another thing that I forgot to get. I had to go quickly measure the bottom frame tube to floor height. I got 8" but of course, my bike is at it's dry weight plus oil. I bet you settle another half inch or so when you drop that engine in there. I thought that I read somewhere that a 1" drop in the front will improve the handling of a KZ1000.

Something else that was interesting.....My wheelbase is now 1" SHORTER than it was before. I wonder if the front will be more apt to come up :woohoo:
I'll get a daytime pic Sat. I'm pretty certain I'm going to be at work from dark to dark tomorrow.
