- Whats that? Half of my swingarm is missing?!?!?
So with irishwills triples in a few weeks and my frame just about complete, I should have a roller by the end of the month. I also spoke with Larry C this afternoon to get a run down of the parts I needed to get my head rebuild/ported. Hopefully I can get the parts sourced quickly and get the head off to Larry soon

My welder shipped today, scheduled for delivery Tuesday. I'll need to practice an aluminum, as one of my first projects is to move the shift rod boss on the shifter from the top to the bottom.
Josh, where was it in San Diego that you ordered your tires from? I am finding myself in need of a front tire in the near future

They don't have quite the same deal as when I purchased my tires, but still some good prices. Something to consider when you buy tires. Almost everyone that I know who rides a sportbike bought the Power Pilot 2CT when it came out, and they do have really good traction and decent durability for an aggressive street tire. However, they do have a tendency to cup the front tire. This will lead to premature replacement. The handling gets real sketchy with a cup on your front.
I have since switched to Bridgestone BT-016's. These have comparable/superior grip, and I haven't seen any evidence of cup in the front so far. They are a few dollars more, and I really like Michelins when it comes to mounting and balancing. They are so supple, and very rarely have any significant imbalance in the tire. You can't say the same for the 'stones.
Honestly, I wanted to try a sport touring tire like a Pilot road 2CT, but the deal was too good on the PP2CT so I bought them. We'll see if the old KZ puts a cup in that front tire.

I had the same trouble with the Mich pilot sports, the front tire cupped. this seems to be the root of the flexing issue i was having last year that lead me to add more frame bracing.
i now have the Dunlop Road smart dual compound ,sport touring tire.i thought a sport tour tire might handle the weight of a kz better. as it turns out maybe the problem was more specifically related to the Mich. pilot tires? anyways i have had them on the track . i felt now slippage what so ever, at full lean (scraping the cases). so i conclude that these tires have enough grip and will last a lot longer. i read a review on them and they did say that they were good for the odd track day. i agree 100 %.
