SCORE!!! 1985 GPz900 For $100 bucks HaHaHeHeHoHo

Ok, I know what your thinking...

WTF, right??

Well, this dude desperate for cash didn't know what he had and let this bike go for $100. I convinced him it was nothing more than a parts bike.

She looks like a disaster but believe it or not, she fires right up and runs strong. Compression was good and only 18k original miles. No fuel tank, so I'm on the look out.

Cosmetically she's trash and no doubt my blasting skills will be desperately needed. I'm figuring some plastic media blasting or soda blasting will do the trick. Time will tell as she is now my official winter project for a frame up restoration.

I'm not sure if I want to go with the black and red paint scheme or silver and red paint scheme for 1985. I'll have to look for someone who can do the job for me.

I'll keep you posted on my progress.

A good buddy of mine has a red/white/blue 900 Ninja that has got to be the most fun bike I have ever ridden. He has spent $$$$ on engine plus 17" aftermarket wheels, etc. I like it even better than the 2000 Rex he sold me.
