I have decided to turn my MKII into a total race bike on the road.

I got my front end put together yesterday. zx11 forks/wheel on 89' zx7 clamps.

I need to find a ZRX swingarm.

Any suggestions?

There's a couple for sale on the ZRXOA forum. That's where I got mine.

Hey nifty bike! I wish mine had looked like that. I am modifying an 80' MKII. It came with a 78' tank and body work.I just finished putting a ZRX swing arm on it.

So you want to use a zx7 triple clamp and stem, right?
If you know the inside diameter the the zx and the outside for the kz you may be able to do that.
A few of us have cut the zx stem off leaving the unseen part in the lower clamp. The kz stem is then machined, and pressed down inside the remaining piece of zx stem. Throw in a set of new KZ bearings and you are almost done.

Stripped down the KZ this weekend for frame strengthening, new engine gaskets from Z1E, and trying to mount up my new ZX11 front suspension.

are there any tapered roller bearings available for the kzs or am i stuck with loose balls (giggity giggity giggity)

Tapered bearings are avialble for the KZ1000 MKll- I've got them in both of mine. Cutting the stem and welding to your existing lower tree is pretty easy -I put a set of KH400 2 stroke trees on my dragbike and had the KZ stem fitted and welded to the lower tree.

just finished figuring out some of the dificulties of the rear end setup im planning on using. Its a GS1100 aluminum swingarm. with a ZX9 rear wheel and 160 tire. the setup has been centered in the swingarm. I had to Machine down the sprocket carrier in two places to make it run in the center, on the sprocket surface and on the very outside of the sprocket carrier bearing. but i seem to have plenty of chain room with this setup.

You can see the lack of room on the outside of the sprocket carrier, but the adjusters do clear it now. and the tire rides center.

This is a pic of the brake setup im planning on using. It' s off of an R6.

Does anyone see any problem with cutting off the original mount bolt slot for the caliper mount (which stock, mounts direct to the swingfarm) and drilling a hole in it for a differant torque arm?
