Wow. looks like you have some work ahead of you. Start out by checking the vin stamped into the neck of the bike. Just in front of gas tank. Run that thru a vin number decoder (theres one on the kawasaki website). If it is post 1980 it will have 17 numbers. Pre and including 1980 will have 12 digits I think.
As far as your key goes you may be able to take the numbers off of the key socket and go to the Kawi dealer or locksmith and have him make another one for you. Not sure about that, but its worth a shot. It worked with an old harley I was working on once.
Ill attach an example of a vin number chart from my kz750 manual.

Learner, You might try to "finesse" seat pivot pins out. This allows (with a little levering) access to the bolts which hold latch loop holder or lock assy.'tis awquard and time consuming, but can be managed w/out damaging bits. G

Yep you've found a 1980 1000 G-1 aka a Z-1 Classic. It's a real shame the bike has been cared for so poorly. On the plus side that model has a lot of parts that are totally unique to that bike so if you can't free up the engine you will likely be able to recoup your money by selling parts off it. The bike was only made for one year and they only built 3201 of them.
Rather than break the seat lock I'd suggest that you pull the ignition switch off and get the key number off it. With that number for around $20.00 these guys can make you a key www.key-men.com/index.html I've used them in the past I think it took about a week to get the key.
As for the Marvel Mystery Oil just pull the plugs and squirt some down each cylinder and let it work for a few days. Then pull off the point cover and slowly try to work things free by using a 17 mm wrench on the end of the crank.
Here is a pic of the one I have.

In the mean time, I'd be working on getting them plugs out. Looks like they could be rusted in, so squirt some Kroil or PB-Blaster on them. Let them soak for a day or two.
While you're at it, soak the cables injector linkage down too.
Drain the crank case of whatever might be in there. Gas tank too.
Chances are that if the motor is locked, the top end will have to come off. But first what I'd do is squirt some oil into the cylinders. Take the valve cover off and slosh oil all over the valve train. Put the plugs in and the valve cover back on. Put a few quarts of cheap oil into the crankcase. Then I'd take the tank, seat, and side covers off and lay the bike over on each side to try to get oil sloshed all over the inside of the engine. Then I'd let it soak a day or two before I tried to turn the motor over.
Maybe you'll get lucky and it'll break free.

Holy crap! I just read the other thread you started and found out this bike was a freebie. Looks like you have a no lose situation in spite of the fact your father thinks it's a piece of junk. Just smile and tell him yeah but it's a piece of junk that can be sold off for a bunch of money.
I don't know where you are located but you may want to post that info. Possibly there's a member here who might be willing to lend you a hand. The one thing I would advise is don't get in a hurry on this one. While you are waiting on things like a key and the Mystery oil to work try doing things like cleaning up rusty stuff. Check out the brakes I'm guessing they are likely frozen up, work on those. Did you get a title with the bike? I'm guessing the bike doesn't have too many miles on it based on the fact it still has the original Goodyear tire on the front.
The bike appears to be in pretty rough shape but if the PO is telling you the truth and it was running when he lost the key you may have really lucked out. If the fuel injection system is still working that in itself is worth some money. Also that is a Mark II engine and it is very desireable to all the drag racers due to the strength of the bottom end.
here is a pic of the other side of mine.

I bet that bike is cleaner than you think. Look at the chrome on the sissy bar and handle bars. Those look pretty clean. By the time you get the key back it should be ready to start...Russ

We've freed up two frozen engines that I can remember that turned out to be great runners without a top end rebuild. Automatic transmission fluid works well.
Just go slow and make sure to change the oil a few times!
