tank is off of a GPz1100A.
I had to move the mounts for the front rubbers back to move the tank and clear the triple trees.... the rubbers on the KZ and GPz are NOT interchangeable, so you'll need to order GPz rubbers and mod your mounts too.
I also had to find a way to retain the GPz tank at the rear, and this was my solution. It's the rear tank tab from another KZ frame I had laying around. I just cut it from the donor frame, welded it here, and this is where it sits. Perfect fit.
And here's a more recent pic with the tail piece hard mounted down over the frame. The rear end was chopped down to rest underneath the tail, and there's a deck under there where the battery sits.

Beautiful bike, very nice work. The tank really looks great on there, and really transforms the look of the bike.
Did those ZRX rear shocks bolt right up? Are they the same length as the stocks?
Where did you hide the battery? Under the tail?

Thanks!
The ZRX shocks ARE direct bolt ons. They are longer than stock though. When the bike is on the centre stand the rear wheel is still on the ground. haha
The battery is up under the tail piece. I'll shoot a pic of how I mounted it today.

Ran it on one of my other bikes and loved it.
I need to buy a new cable though. That magnetic pickup thing wasn't doin it for me. Looks more classic with that big ass cable hanging there.

It did look a lot different, but I got a $5K insurance check for hail damage on my Saab...... I'll give you a hint: The saab STILL has hail damage.
