Well i went from goin too stock rebuild too just a few mods.
So far ive got the zx9 front on, "which required minimal modes even the steering lock worked with a bit of grinding and is 2,5 inch longer than a zx7 so i only lost about an inch overall comparred to stock", and will be mountin a 99 cbr900rr swingarm on, which will be mounted upsidedown to give the bike that clasic braced look and tabs welded on for the twin shocks. The chain slider will simply mount with a few hole's drilled and tapped.
the rear wheel is a zx9 5.5" with a 190 tire which will have the sprocket mount machined down and a 3/8 offset sprocket
Im concidering a gsxr 600-750 swap but im partial too a zephyr 750 swap too keep it mainly kawi

Did you have to do anything to the fender to fit over that front tire ? It seemed that my 550 fender wouldn't fit over a ZR550 wheel w/110/70-17 .

hannah1 that was just a mockup im going to remove the support riviots and cut leaving just 1/4 in weld it on and fill the riviot holes, then make an alumium bracket to make the difference from fork too fender mounts.
i found that the side mount supports are rubbing on the tire it may also require me to spreed the fender a bit but i think the look is well worth the extra work

Same as I found w/550 fender , pretty much . I'm going to do complete Zephyr running gear/motor/electrics on an old syle twin shock GPz frame . I was definately looking to keep the "look" of the GPz fender . When I saw your pics I was hoping that maybe the 750 fender was somehow a little larger than the 550 model . I was thinking that I would remove the original bracket and build new pieces , one on each side . The new pieces would replicate the look of the old bracket , but they would be welded to the edge of the fender instead of going between the fender and tire( I could also install fake rivets) . I would then also be able to have the new pieces attach at the ZR fork mount without any adaptor plates . Nice 750 BTW , I also have an '82 750 like that . It's all stock w/Marzocchi shocks . pic

im not sure if its larger here is a measurment from the center of the fender just in front of mount to the outside of the fender lips 5 inches.
thats a sick 750 , found mine in a shed while doin some ceptic work on a guys farm, get this it had less than 6000 km and sat there for 13 yrs. There was rust and oxidation and the tank was damaged from years of rakes and shovels fallin on it but for 500.00 i had too have it

Over the last two years I've filled my garage , mostly off Ebay , with KZ/GPz550 bikes and parts . I once bought ZR750 wheels complete w/rotors , axles , cush drive , swingarm , oil cooler w/lines and front brake lever/mc shipped for under $100 . I've gotten some unbelievable deals on both bikes and parts . I've gotten stuck a few times , of course . I've got a Cal Fab coming soon for a 550 .

Nice to see others have the same aspirations for their 750r1. I placed the 91 ZR motor in mine. The zx9 forks are what is needed. Did you use the zx9 triple clamp as well?
I have a TL1000 swing arm in the wings. Just need to gather that front end.
Thanks for the inspiration. Glad to see the stock paint is intact.
