1975 Z1-B 900 circa 1988

Here's my baby found buried in mud at an old motorcycle scrap yard that no longer exists. c.1988

Best I could find out from the guy is the bike was purchased by some 'wiener' in 1975 who wanted to take it apart and see what was inside. Apparently he did not phase the cams properly and tried to start the motor and bent several valves! Rather than fix it they sold it for nothing to the salvage who stuck the thing out back and forgot about it.

Best thing was, all the parts inside were virtually brand new including everything in the motor except for the bent valves. Even by 1988 most of the big dollar stuff and crash items had been stripped off.

That's just where the story starts with me. I'll post the blood sweat and tears events another time. Drag strips, crashes, near misses, wheelies, big bores, paint jobs, bike shows, flat track, white knuckles, parties, love/hate, fire.... 32 years old now I've lived with her for the last 19.
