Wow I can't believe I scored with this screen name!
]
I just picked up this rough betty yesterday. man is my wife p*ssed:evil:
She doesn't run but turns over nice. Also, I have the no spark blues. the PO last ran her about two years ago. They rebuilt the carbs but looking at the drippage something is just not right.
This one came with headers and pipes, thats right I said headers.
I took off the seat, covers, tank and found the wiring to be a little on the shady side. Here you can see the fuel drip damage, I'm gonna have to pull the motor to get this cleaned up
The good/ bad news is it has under 20k
Tomorrow I am going to crank her over and see what the compression readings are. I can all ready see that I need new points/ condensers. And thanks to this site I am going to call Z1 enterprizes in the AM for those parts.
Right now I just want to hear it fire up. She seems to have a few electrical gremlins, like when I pull in the clutch lever the starter kicks over, and when I click the turn signals I get a weird buzzing sound from the left side cover and the headlight doesn't work(it was converted to a H4 bulb)
The good news is I have the Orininal owners manual and a repair manual. Is $500.00 a good deal?

Welcome. Sounds like a good deal, as long as the motor turns over and is not siezed for lack of oil. :blink:
Pix and all, good boy. Looks to be in great shape.

Nice score. You have the C model though not the B. The C model came with the triple disc brakes and the mag wheels. The B has a single disc with a drum in the rear and wire wheels. Good luck with what looks to be a nice winter project. The 650's are sweet running little bikes.
