Hello! was created by Kawifan
As my username indicates, I'm a big Kawi fan. I've a love affair with the KZ for a while now. I was born the 1st year they arrived, but have a big appreciation for this machine (really alot of 70's Japanese bikes but the KZ stands out). I currently own a zx7 that I shoved a zx9r motor in along with a grocery list of mods. It's quite a bike. And I also own a Dualsport Honda XR650r to light my hair on fire in the dirt and at times the street.
I am in the market for a Kz 900. Currently looking at a 76 B1. I've got some questions, but I'll save them for the appropriate topic section.

Here you go. The bike has seen some changes since these snaps, but needs a respray. The mods include:
9r motor, head decked and a 3 angle for clean up.
Full titanium muzzy racing exhaust 2 1/8 tubing
39mm Flatslide racing carbs modified to run in standard ram setup (haven't nailed the jetting yet, but close)
Brembo full floating rotors
Kevlar brake lines.
Homologation model tail section (single seater)
Modified crankcase breather setup running to catch can
520 chain conversion
Forks modified to accept 9r lowers, Racetech Springs and valving
136 hp @ the wheel
Potential for 950 big bore kit which should put it around 150 @ the wheel.
Not bad for an old girl. Takes a very powerful bike (and a skilled rider) to lose me.
Paint...ugly...but I'll get around to it
The Duc isn't mine...but I've had my fun with it. 'til my buddy took it back, moved to manhattan and it got ripped off in 1 month.
The XR is my dirt/trails weapon...torque that will scare ya. Total Beast.

I've got a few under my belt...but Loudon is a horrible track AND the only one around. That in addition to being pricey $200-250 depending on who's running it makes them kinda rare now-a-day. When I lived in California, Willow was the spot (along with a myriad of canyon roads). The zx7 is a better street bike anyway.

Welcome!
The 900 LTDs are getting rare, like all of the older Kaws, but keep your eyes peeled... one will turn up.
