Anybody know what an '82 kz750 spectre in moderate condition is worth? My mother has been after me to take her's and I'm not sure if I really want it.
thanks,
Chris

Hey Now.

I have two '82 KZ750N1's. www.ratpackcycles.com

I paid $500 for one (9000 miles, idle for 12 years) and built the other out of eBay parts (no idea on miles, total about $600). Both had clear title. If you're in the southeast US, let me know - I might be interested in another Spectre.

Post a pic and we can decide from there. Scratches and what not can decrease the value, but I would sell it for over $1000, since it was woman owned and women tend to take it easy on the throttle, so we can say the engine has barely done work.

Was it salvageable or did you have to get a replacement? JMK.

I'm a proponent of safe riding gear, so the padded, well-supported ankle protection kept the bone-displacing and tendon-tearing to a minimum. Despite the two cracked ribs and the ankle and wrist sprains, I rode the bike towards home. It just quit running about three miles from the crash. I had it towed since I was too damaged to push it the remaining 12 miles.
